Buddhas is a triptych inspired by the Leshan Giant Buddha in China. The illustration imagines an ancient construction site of buddha sculptures carved out of the cliff faces in local mountain ranges just like the Leshan Giant Buddha. The line-work of this illustration is hand-drawn with ink on 3 sheets of watercolor paper, then scanned and colored digitally.
