Mythological Creatures is a on-going painting series exploring the mythological creatures appear in the Four Symbols in Chinese culture. The series use ancient elements to explore modern societal clashes between authority and tradition, immigration and colonization, etc. The illustrations are presented in a playful and almost comedic setting, mocking the violence occurring in their stories.
